How Validation Works

Stake USDC
Deposit minimum 10 USDC to become a validator. Higher stakes and longer locks earn more tasks.
Get Assigned Tasks
The network randomly assigns validation tasks based on your stake weight and reputation.
Vote on Quality
Review tool outputs and vote valid or invalid. 3 validators per task, 2/3 majority decides.
Earn Rewards
Correct votes earn rewards from the 10% validator pool. Build reputation, get more tasks.

How Reputation Works
- Start at 500 reputation (scale: 0-1000)
- +10 reputation for correct votes
- -25 reputation for incorrect votes
- Below 200 = cannot participate

Slashing Warning
Incorrect votes result in 5% stake slashing plus a 24-hour cooldown period. Vote carefully - the majority consensus determines correctness.
Getting Started
Four steps to start earning as a validator
- Set up Base L2 wallet - You'll need a wallet that supports Base network (Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask with Base)
- Acquire USDC - Get USDC on Base L2 (bridge from Ethereum or buy directly)
- Register with Herald - Connect your wallet and register as a validator on the Herald Network
- Stake and start validating - Choose your lock period, stake your USDC, and start receiving validation tasks
